Freshness and preparation are not the only factors in making great coffee sketches in lattes. Proportions of ingredients play an important part, too.
Elle had a little bit of trouble with this latte art – there wasn’t enough foam. You’ll notice that the lines are not as smooth as usual and the intersecting lines are all wobbly. The perfect of amount of foam helps keep the chocolate in place as it is pulled across the surface. Otherwise, the chocolate is more prone to moving and blurring the more the liquid is disturbed.
