For more complicated latte art, I tend to make a sketch beforehand so I know where everything should be placed. I don’t start the same way when I draw latte art as I do for normal sketching. Latte art sinks, so I have to draw the less important and more boldest lines first. Details are last.
Also, for art that is this detailed, I make the drawing from chocolate syrup. It lasts longer than coffee foam, but I have to be very patient with it. The syrup takes a while before it sticks to the milk foam.
